Get Service Dollars from Microsoft® Introducing the Microsoft Windows Small Business Server 2003 and Microsoft Office 2003 Partner Services Promotion
For a limited time, when a qualifying Nextrio client purchases eligible Office2003 or Windows Small Business Server 2003 licenses, the client will receive a subsidy check from Microsoft made payable directly to Nextrio, to provide services.
When eligible Office Professional 2003 and Windows Small Business Server 2003 licenses are purchased together, Nextrio clients will receive even more subsidy dollars for Nextrio services.
The subsidy amount varies from $10 to $250 (depending on what is purchased), with greatest return to Nextrio’s clients when purchased through Open Value. Open Value will include the new Small Business Full Platform SKU launching with Open License Value 2.0. Microsoft Office Small Business Edition 2003 is eligible for this promotion in only this new Small Business Full Platform SKU. Nextrio clients can step up to Office Professional 2003 with the purchase of this SKU if you choose.
In this era of e-commerce and direct ordering, customers can easily purchase technology directly from large Internet retailers. The trade-off: you give up the level of personal service that only your local solution provider can deliver — and your money goes somewhere other than our community.
How the offer works:
- Purchases a minimum of five (5) Microsoft Office Professional 2003 licenses, one (1) Microsoft Windows Small Business Server 2003 license, or both at the same time through Open Licensing
- Redeem acquired licenses on the Microsoft Incentives website. Be sure to select Nextrio to perform the services. A check is sent to you, made out to Nextrio to provide services.
- Use your check towards IT services with Nextrio.
To take advantage of this offer or for more information, please contact Nextrio at 545-7101.

TECH TIP New Year Resolutions
We all know how easy it is to dump files into the wrong folder when we're in a hurry. But one way to make sure you'll keep your files organized is to remove the clutter with a filing system that makes sense for the way you use your computer.
• Start clean - Begin by deciding which files you no longer need on your hard drive.
• Think it through - Take the time to plan the best way to organize your files. How do you spend your time on the computer and what do you create? Do you work with photos and image editing software, surf the Web, write short stories, research school projects, or play games? The folders you create in My Documents can be easily tailored to show you just the kind of data about your files that you need to track.
• Use subfolders - After you have an idea of the kinds of items you produce and want to save, create folders and subfolders to store your files. Be sure to use logical, easy-to-understand names. For example, within My Documents, you might create these folders:
• Projects
• HR Benefits
• Career
Within the Projects folder, you could create subfolders for your different projects.
To create a new subfolder with Windows XP, in the File and Folder task pane click Make a New Folder. Type the name for the new folder and press Enter.
Create a new folder using the File and Folder task pane.
